![]() Project M.I.S.E.
M.I.S.E. is a mission project based on four components: prayer, spiritual growth, fellowship, and evangelism. The goal of the project is to create groups of believers who will meet on a regular basis in all cities and villages in the Silesia Region of the Czech Republic and also beyond its border where such fellowships of believers do not exist. This project began in 2006 and was internally supported by the Silesian Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession. The project has already borne some first fruits. The mission teams have shared the Gospel in the streets and in schools and people in new locations were there was no Christian fellowship have begun to gather together. New mission teams have been started to add to the work of the original teams. These teams evangelize where there are no Christians with the goal to begin a youth group, a Bible study group, and plan for a future con- gregation plant.

We support several missions each month financially: Disaster Recovery Assistance, Adopt A Student, Lutheran Ministries of NWFL, CAME, POBLO, Myers Missionaries, Project M.I.S.E.Missionaries to Macau, China
Our congregation is supporting the work of the Myer's family in Macau, China as they offer English-as-a-Foreign-Language classes through LCMS World Missions. By seeking to build relationships with their students they may be given the opportunity to share the Gospel with them through their actions and words.
Dear Partners in Christ, The eagle has landed! I am writing from Macau, where I am getting to know the team and getting to know the intimate details of the ministry as it stands, while hunting for an apartment that will best serve our family as we serve the people of Macau. Please take a few minutes to read the newsletter which you can download by clicking here. Friday is our 16th anniversary and Emily's 9th birthday. We praise God for both occasions to celebrate.
In Christ, Matt Myers
Mission TripThis summer's Mission trip was to Xilitla Mexico to clear land for a new Orphanage. Xilitla is a town of about 2,000 residents in central Mexco, north of Mexico city. These are some of our pictures. |
People of the Book Lutheran Outreach is a multi-ethnic mission society of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod planting congregations among Muslims and others. It is only right that Christians share with Muslims what the Bible is shouting to the world—the story of the Savior Jesus Christ. POBLO trains and sends ethnic missionaries to go to them with the message of that book, God’s Word.
